Hey everybody, how is it going? So today we actually wanted to go over a really interesting concept.
So there was an article in CoStar News this week that went over brick and mortar retail and E-Retailing and how we can combine both of those and how there’s a company that’s actually starting to do this. They’re starting to help corporations combine their brick and mortar stores with their E-Retailing stores. And what’s happening is you’re able to actually come up with a really cool product.
So one of the examples that we were just looking at was that when you go into a retail store, there’s actually a QR code that you can scan that will give you exclusive access to this free item just by going into the store. Now, the thing is, is you can’t buy it anywhere. You can’t do anything like that. You have to go to the store to get this free item. That becomes something that is really tying together, these E-Retailers and this brick and mortar.
This is what landlords, large landlords of large malls and things around the country are wanting to see from their tenants. They’re wanting to see people who have successful ecommerce stores turn that into brick and mortar. They’re wanting to see people who have successful brick and mortar also encompass into the E-Retailing space. And in doing all of this, they’re actually looking at giving a higher percentage of space to those types of tenants that can cross that divide much easier.
So thank you for reading and we’ll see you on the next one.
