πŸš„ High-Speed Rail to Palmdale? πŸš„

All right. We’re going to talk about a project today that it’s a little bit controversial. It’s the high speed rail here in California.

So Bakersfield currently just got approved to have a section run from Bakersfield to Palmdale. It is going to run up through the mountains, hit Tehachapi and kind of cut back down. The entire train itself should go from about San Francisco to Sacramento all the way down to about San Diego. When it’s completed the total completion cost apparently is going to be about $20 billion. That line makes sense, right? If I can get from San Francisco to San Diego, instead of having to drive 8 hours, it becomes, you know, a 4 hour, 6 hour ride even. Not that I’m on a train. I don’t have to do anything. I can focus and I can take care of my work. I can be productive. And by the time I get somewhere that I want to be, I get out and I go do my thing. I think that’s going to be huge.

Now, where my issue becomes is first off, now we have an environmental report that is approved for the Bakersfield to Palmdale route. You’ve got who is going from Bakersfield to Palmdale? Right. Like, don’t we think about this stuff? You know, I understand it’s part of a bigger rail system, but if you want to build something to sell it to somebody, you may want it to do something. But really, what is that productivity for the state itself? What we’re charging all of these people, all of these billions of dollars to make this train, we need to be able to pay that train back. That’s how money works, is you borrow it, you pay it back. However, if we keep on getting stopped on this train, if we keep on going on overages on this train, then how are we ever supposed to get anything
done? How are we supposed to make this efficient?

And, you know, maybe there’s something I’m missing, so if there is and you know about this project, then, you know, please do comment down below, because I am trying to figure out like, what is everyone thinking over here in the state, trying to figure out how to do a high speed rail that already has been shut down in multiple sections, already is low on funding and already is having problems getting restarted to build and connect. So like and follow for more, comment if you know more below as well.

Thank you.
