Hey everybody! We’re going to be going over actually the topic of your life. So this is a little bit more motivational than maybe I would normally post. But really what I’m looking at here is what is it that you do for you? Oftentimes we go into stuff and we’re doing things because this is what we’ve told we should do. This is what we’ve learned that we should do and etc.. For example, Indian culture. You should become a doctor. You should become a lawyer. And now what if you’re not that person? But there’s a billion of these people, right? There’s a billion Indians in the world over, I think. Maybe one or two of them may not want to be a lawyer or a doctor or something like that. And so how do you reconcile that? Right. Because in the Indian culture, family is very important.
So you want to listen to your family, you want to do what they say, and you want to be the good kid, so to speak. That being said, especially in Indian culture, we got all of these people that, you know, your friends, right? You know, those friends that you got that are the good kids, right. They went to Stanford at Harvard and got all the you know, there a P.H.D surgeon working at Johns Hopkins and, you know, all that kind of stuff. And it’s cool, like, man, you did it. Good for you. I hope you love it. That’s kind of the point, right? Is like you may have done all of that stuff because that’s what you should do and that’s what you think you should do and that’s what you were told. But you may not love it at the end of the day, right? Like you’re going to be 90 years old yourself, just like your parents are going to be 90 years old and they want to see their kid doing well. And that’s oftentimes why they push go get education, become a doctor, become a lawyer, get a good job, right, get a stable income, grow your way through a company.
And so because of this, I think that really we have to start looking at. Okay. Well, yes, we can do all of these things, right. We can get a good job. We can make good money. We can do all of these things. But in the world that we live in today and we don’t have to do this strictly by becoming a doctor or a lawyer, now that does increase your risk potential for not making enough money. However, if you are making, let’s say, even a living wage or slightly above a living wage, which may be poor to your family, doesn’t fucking matter. Right? If you’re happy, you’re happy and you’re doing what you want to do and you’re building something that you want to build and you’re living your life in a way that when you are 90, you’re sitting on your deathbed, you look back and you say, You know what? I did what I wanted to do. And that’s that period, end of story. And you’re happy. That’s kind of what I have for you today, is I want you to start thinking about what is it that you want, what makes you happy, and are you doing what you’re doing because of something you want to do? Or is it because something you were told to do or something that you think that you should do to be somebody? That’s what I have for you today. I hope it was informational. Please let me know what you think on the comments below and we’ll see you next time. Take care.
